Benefits Of Front Squats? What is a front squat? Front squats are very similar to the traditional barbell squat exercise, although instead of resting the bar on the back of your shoulders, you rest the bar in the front of your body on top of your shoulder muscles. How to do front squats? There are two methods to stabilize the bar on the front of your shoulders. (1) Hold the bar by placing your palms face up. Then have the bar resting on your fingers against your shoulders. (2) Cross your forearms into an “X”, and rest the bar on your shoulder muscles near the bone.
