Autumn Leaves – Another Option with Gesso, Alcohol Ink and Embossing Power
Here’s another technique I was messing around with. I had to keep my voice down for this one. If you have a punch or the Tim Holtz die cut for these leaves it would be much easier but I had to do it the hard way. So to clarify becaue my babbling is a little misleading: 1st – Paint the Gesso on heavy cream colored card stock either stencil it on or just paint it on your die cut leaf. Let it dry. 2nd – Drops of alcohol ink on the Gesso. It’s pretty cool how it spreads out and fills in the cracks. 3rd – Once the ink is dry, dap on clear embossing ink or whatever embossing ink you prefer. 4th – cover with clear embossing powder. I prefer not to use UTEE but you could if you wanted to. 5th – heat it with your heat tool and watch the magic with how the colors change and the alcholol ink bleeds a

How to Make Fall Leaves
I was inspired by Jim at The Gentleman Crafter: I believe he said that he was inspired by Fiona Jennings: I love, love, love the way these came out. I have been playing with my alcohol inks all weekend, I mixed it with Gesso, made some really cool texture that looks just like the bark of a really old tree, just playing around and learning new techniques. Homemade Shake and Bake! Pork Chop Coating Recipe: Noreen’s Kitchen
Greetings! I decided to make some pork loin chops for dinner this evening and I was going to use the box of Shake and Bake, because it was quick and easy. I decided to read the ingredients, and while it really wasn’t that bad, it still has “spices” and yeast extract and a couple other things that I figured we didn’t need. So I’ll put this box in the pantry and give it to the food bank when the school has their holiday food drive. I threw together this quick and easy coating mix with little effort and it was simply delicious! I used spices to compliment the pork but you could use this for chicken or even cubed steaks. It was quick easy and delicious. I will use this coating mix from now on and forgo the corporate store bought creation that is kind of expensive to begin with. You can use goo
