IN THE PALE MOONLIGHT by michael backhouse (and guide to making video)
I already have this song uploaded, but this is me actually performing on video. It’s taken me a while to work out how to put this video together, so I thought I would share how I did it. It’s just me singing into a Rode NT3 mic (out of sight above my head) and playing my Samick acoustic guitar (TMJ-5CE) into my Roland AC-33 acoustic guitar amp. I have used effects from the amp, putting some reverb on the vocals, and it has the ‘wide’ setting on the guitar. The vocal mic also picked up my acoustic guitar, which was quite bright. So I pushed up the bass a bit on the direct feed from the guitar to balance it out. I ran the stereo line out from the amp via a Sescom attenuator lead (LN2MIC-50DB) into the stereo mic input of my Nikon P7100 still camera, which also has a video function. It was on
